Make your school trip to York all the more magical, with a bespoke Wizard Walk your pupils will be talking about for a long time to come!
Unlike the many ghost walks in the city, the Wizard Walk really is suitable for all ages and focuses on FUN over frights! The Wizard of York has Public Liability Insurance, and can provide a full Risk Assessment.
Wizard Wand Kits can also be booked in advance (subject to availability) and make a great pocket-money gift – pupils can hone their own magic skills!
Although not strictly an educational tour, literacy links are possible with the Harry Potter stories and other wizard tales, and we visit historical sites of interest. All group sizes can be accommodated, and many schools say this is the highlight of their trip. Get in touch to book!

Fantastic Feasts and Where to Find Them
In York, you really can make a meal of it…you’ll be spoilt for choice with places to eat before or after your tour!
The Wizard of York is happy to suggest places to eat and rooms to hire before or after your birthday booking. My top tip? Pre-book for ‘The Wizard of York Special’ ice-creams at Loopy Scoops Ice-Cream Parlour! A magical creation featuring Vanilla and Caramel Butter Brew ice-cream in a red sherbet cone, with a chocolate frog, chocolate pretzel wand and more!
In the warmer months, many families choose to do a picnic in the nearby Deans Park or Museum Gardens. Ask The Wizard when booking, and he’ll share plenty of other options too!
